Monday, December 2, 2024 – Lyman Lake Drawdown Period Information

Dear Lyman Lake Resident,

SJWD Water District’s commitment to watershed maintenance is a critical component of our mission to preserve and maintain the lakes and rivers that supply our drinking water. Our watershed management strategy includes a wide variety of routine maintenance and monitoring activities, and this year we intend to implement an annual lowering of Lyman Lake.

With the current low levels of precipitation, the drawdown of the lake has begun naturally. Beginning December 16, 2024, and lasting through February 16, 2025, our goal is to lower Lyman Lake approximately 3-5 ft. from normal pool level. Please keep in mind that during this time lake levels may still fluctuate due to heavy rain events and/or lack of rain.
